Please note if you are a user of any of the following Merchant Banks online products listed below, there are important dates listed that need attention before the full online banking merger begins on July 10th.
Automatic transfers to your Merchants Bank checking to savings or savings to checking accounts set up to occur on or before July 12th, will process as normal and will be available when you access Fidelity Bank’s Online Banking and Mobile Banking services.
Transfers from your Merchants Bank checking and/or savings account(s) to accounts at other financial institutions set up to occur on or before July 12th, will process as normal. Currently, Fidelity Bank does not offer this service. To discuss alternatives, please contact a Fidelity Banker at 1-800-388-4380.
Mobile Deposits through Merchants Bank will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. on July 10th, and will be available to you once you access Fidelity Bank’s Mobile Banking services.
Bill Pay payments scheduled to occur on or before July 12th will process as normal under Merchants Bank. On July 13th, automatic payments will resume automatically under Fidelity Bank and please note the following:
For personal and business clients, once you access Fidelity Bank’s Online Banking service and agree to the Web Bill Pay terms & conditions, all bill pay information will convert and be available for use. Please note: Business client payees will be available by July 16th.
PopMoney on-demand or recurring payments set up to occur on or before July 12th will process as normal. There is no conversion of PopMoney. Upon accessing Fidelity Bank’s Online Banking service and agreeing to the Bill Payment terms & conditions you will need to re-establish PopMoney services.
Alerts will process as normal for July 10th. Upon accessing Fidelity Bank’s Online Banking system, you will be prompted to set up a new series of alerts using Fidelity Bank’s enhanced Alert service.
Any electronic statements you are currently receiving will continue being sent until July 9th. A final statement for all Merchants Bank checking and savings accounts will be generated as of the close of business on July 10th and these statements will be mailed to your account’s mailing address of record. Beginning July 13th, you will receive your Fidelity Bank statement electronically based on your normal statement cycle.
Any electronic notices you are currently receiving will continue to be sent until July 10th. Beginning July 13th, you will receive electronic notifications through Fidelity Bank, except for Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) notices. We recommend you consider setting up an account alert to notify you if your account is below a designated balance threshold, or the account was overdrawn.
Transaction history will be available once you establish Fidelity Bank’s Online Banking and Mobile Banking. You will also have access to check images, however, there may be a delay in availability of images beginning July 10th. In the interim, please contact Fidelity Bank’s Customer Care Center at 1-800-388-4380 to obtain a copy of paid items.
If you download business transactions to financial management software such as Quickbooks or Quicken, you will need to add Fidelity Bank to your software. This can be done once you re-establish your online banking credentials on Fidelity Bank’s online banking portal. Fidelity Bank offers Web Connect, Express Connect and Direct Connect. If you previously saved your Merchants Bank online Access ID and/or password to your personal device or personal computer, you must remember to re-establish them once you activate your Fidelity Bank online account. You must re-save these to your personal device or personal computer.
For your security, we recommend you periodically change your password and ensure your Online Banking email address is up to date. This can be used for password reset requests should you forget your password.
