Fidelity Bank Presents Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering With $10,000 IMPACT Grant

Bethlehem, PA – September 25, 2023 – Fidelity Bank is pleased to share that Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering (BES) has won the $10,000 Fidelity Bank IMPACT grant.

BES competed with three other area nonprofit finalists, all with the goal of securing grant funding to support their ongoing initiatives. Although all of the finalists demonstrated their ability to deliver vital services to Bethlehem residents, BES secured the most community votes, determining them the winner.

Daniel J. Santaniello, President and CEO of Fidelity Bank was on hand at the bank’s Bethlehem branch to present a $10,000 check to BES.

“The selection of BES reflects their outstanding dedication to the Bethlehem community and their impactful efforts. It also emphasizes the strong support they have earned locally,” shared Daniel J. Santaniello, President and CEO of Fidelity Bank.  “We are so pleased that the funds from our IMPACT grant will benefit this deserving organization and the people of Bethlehem.”

BES, a faith-based partnership, provides a network of care and hospitality for the homeless in the Bethlehem community. Overnight sheltering, including hot meals and shower facilities, is provided during the coldest months of the year – November to April. BES also partners with other organizations to offer counseling and related services to help locate permanent housing for its guests.

The funds from Fidelity Bank’s $10,000 IMPACT Grant will be used strategically to facilitate the transformation of the current BES shelter into a year-round facility.
